November Nibbles
November is characterized by chilly air and the food holiday that puts every other food holiday to shame: Thanksgiving! Lets dive into some food holidays you can celebrate to prepare your mind, body, and spirit for Thanksgiving!
Deviled Eggs Day - November 2, 2025
I think we can all agree that the all time best Thanksgiving food is deviled eggs. Deviled eggs are perfect for every scenario, whether you're grabbing one every time you pass by the dining room table, or stacking five on your already overfilled Thanksgiving plate. The creamy, flavorful filling just melts in your mouth every time. It is pure bliss.
Deviled eggs are the type of dish where every family has a unique recipe. If you haven't been brought in on the family secret yet, try making these simple deviled eggs. Feel free to add in any extra ingredients that your heart desires! And don’t forget the rule of thumb: however many you think you need, double that number!

Tongue Twister Day - November 8, 2025
Tongue Twisters are defined as “a sequence of words or sounds, typically of an alliterative kind, that are difficult to pronounce quickly and correctly.” When it comes to cooking, one word comes to mind that is very difficult for the majority of us to pronounce… Worcestershire. The formal pronunciation of this word is “wu-stuh-shr,” meaning most of us have been saying this wrong all of our lives.
Worcestershire sauce is made of anchovies fermented in vinegar with molasses, sugar, garlic, and tamarind. This sauce is best used in marinades for steaks and chicken. If you would like to try your hand at creating a marinade using this sauce, try recreating this steak marinade. You may not be able to pronounce it, but you can surely enjoy its flavor!
Pickle Day - November 14, 2025
Pickles are a type of dish that receives very mixed reviews; some people love them, some people hate them. Either way, they are a result of thousands of years of food storage tradition. Humans have been pickling foods since 2030 BCE throughout the Roman Empire, Ancient Greece, and Egypt, and Asia.
“Pickling” is not exclusive to cucumbers. Many different types of vegetables and meats can be pickled to make them last longer and to enhance their flavors. If you are new to pickling, try making these refrigerator dill pickles. These will yield delicious and easy dill pickles that will spark your journey to try pickling other veggies.
Fast Food Day - November 16, 2025
With Thanksgiving coming up, we are sure you are sick of cooking AND your fridge is most-likely already filled to the brim with pre-cooked food in anticipation for the big day. We get it. Sometimes you just want to go out and grab food from the fast food restaurant that the whole family loves to avoid the chaos of cooking.
You could get fries from any fast food restaurant in your area, or you could make these easy homemade crispy seasoned french fries at home! This dish is easy to make, quick, and a little healthier than anything you’d find elsewhere. You won’t even have to worry about leftovers, either, because your family is sure to eat every last bit!
